Our Services
-
In Home Services
Services are provided in the home setting or the natural environment of the child. This may include grandparent’s or family member’s homes where the child spends most of their time. The child is taught skills for the environment that they would use those skills.
-
Early Intervention- Coming soon
Early intervention services are those children ages 0-3 years of age in the home setting. This is a collaboration with parents and caregivers focused on teaching early language and play skills based in ABA strategies. Research shows that the earlier a child has intervention, the greater their outcomes in life.
-
School Age & Adolescent Programs
Social Behavior Solutions provides services for school age children ages 3-11 and adolescent programs ages 11-19.
-
School Age Programs- Coming soon
When appropriate we provide ABA services in the school setting to help manage behaviors, teach language and promote independence in the classroom environment. Our ultimate goal is that the child is independent and does not require support in school.
-
Comprehensive Programs
Comprehensive programs are those that include a full range of goals and treatment areas for someone who is impacted in a variety of skill areas. This may include treatment goals in developing language, social skills, imitation, self help skills, toileting, behavior management, attending, joint attention, and delayed reinforcement, for example.
-
Focused Programs
Focused programs are those that are focused on only a few particular areas for improvement. For example, a child might only need treatment and skills training in social skills.
-
Natural Environment Training (NET)
Natural Environment Training is a methodology that is child lead and follows the child’s motivation. This strategy captures and contrives opportunities to maximize learning opportunities in the natural environment. In ABA it is important to have the child learn skills in the environment they will use these skills and be able to generalize these skills in a meaningful way to promote independence across home, school and the community and across teachers, parents and peers.
-
Community Based Instruction (CBI)
When appropriate community based instruction may be recommended to generalize and apply skills that have been learned to the natural environment that the child encounters. This may include parks, community events, sports, playgrounds, shopping centers, family events, birthday parties, and restaurants, for example.
-
Social Skills Instruction
Play skills are the foundation to social skills and building relationships. We assess where each child is at in their skill development and develop a systematic approach to expand on their social development.
-
Caregiver Collaboration & Parent Training
A critical factor in a child’s progress is caregiver involvement and collaboration. We seek to support and train caregivers in ABA strategies while taking into account each family’s unique needs, culture, and priorities. Caregiver collaboration includes:
Progress updates for goals and behavior interventions with parent input.
Compassionate care and support and active listening for your needs as a parent.
Modeling and hands-on practice using these strategies.
-
Speech and Language Therapy & Assessment
Speech and language therapy assess and provides treatment, support and care for children and adults who have difficulties with communication (language, voice, articulation, fluency), Augmentative or Alternate Communication (AAC), with eating, drinking and swallowing. Services are provided in the home setting or natural environment and are provided by a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP).
